My new bicycle

After my second scooter bike broke down for the nth time, I decided that enough is enough. No more spending money infinitely on repairing it. Not to mention about the bike choked and died in the middle of nowhere and the fatigue of having to push it for kilometres to the next workshop.

For years, I relied on public transport and a major part of my calf muscles to get around, till last Tuesday, the day I bought a new bicycle. It was indeed a wise acquisition. Now there is no need to observe the time schedule of the buses anymore. Time saving. Environment friendly. Easy on the wallet. Most importantly, I embrace the sense of freedom. Sometimes all it takes is just a little to change one’s life.

If I need your opinion, I'll ask for it.

I may not always right, but I am not always wrong.

Yet ever so often, there are some people who always have an opinion or advice ready at hand to dish out. As if he has all the answers in the world, albeit having no relative experience in the subject.

“why don’t you…….?”
“You should have …..”

What are they thinking? That I am completely stupid and incapable to live my life? Come on darling. I have already lived two quarters of my life span. The fact that I am still around kicking, I must have done something right. Most of the time, I nod my head in agreement. Occasionally I will also exclaim “Really?” “I see”. That is because I am giving them a chance to shine. The world has too many speakers and too few listeners. I adopt the latter role to be in good company so that our gathering could be a harmonious one. No confrontation is also a quick way to end their speech.

I really hope those “opinionists” read this. Then they will realise that they are not the smartest around. Some asses could be smart by pretending to be not.
